Kootd Terms of Use

1. The Service

Kootd creates AI results from your photos. The main features today are:

• Outfit score: an AI rating of your outfit, free after watching an ad.
• Glow-up score and "a better you": analyses a face photo, gives a score and suggestions, and shows an improved look as an image.
• AI filters: apply filters provided by Kootd to your photo. You can also submit your own filter, which is published if it passes review.
• Virtual try-on, restyle, outfit swap and style sheet: try clothes on, change a style, swap outfits between two people, or organise an outfit.
• Community: posts, comments, likes and follows.

Features, the credits each one costs, and the AI models we use may change as we improve the Service.

2. Accounts

• You must be at least 14 years old (or the higher minimum age set by the law of your country).
• Accounts are created with Google, Apple or email. AI features that use photos require sign-in.
• Keep your account secure. You may not transfer, sell or share your account.

3. Credits

• Credits are in-app units spent on AI features. The cost of each feature is shown in the app and on the pricing page.
• New accounts receive a one-time bonus of 20 credits.
• Subscription credits are granted each billing cycle (Weekly: 200 credits every 7 days; Annual: 400 credits every month). Unused subscription credits do not roll over; they expire at the next grant.
• Credits bought in a credit pack do not expire.
• Credits have no cash value, cannot be moved to another account, and are forfeited when you delete your account.
• If a purchase is refunded, the credits from that purchase are taken back. If you have already spent them, your purchased-credit balance may go negative, and that amount is deducted from your total available credits.
• Credits obtained through an error or by fraud may be reclaimed.

4. Subscriptions and payment

• There is one subscription tier, Pro, billed Weekly ($4.99) or Annually ($74.99). Prices are in USD; the stores show the amount in your local currency including tax.
• Payment is charged to your Apple App Store or Google Play account.
• A subscription renews automatically on the same terms unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends; the renewal is charged within the 24 hours before the period ends.
• Cancel in the App Store or Google Play subscription settings on your device. Deleting the app or your account does not cancel a subscription. After cancelling you keep the benefits until the paid period ends.
• Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their refund policies. We do not collect or refund payments directly. Statutory rights such as withdrawal for users in Korea are exercised through each store's process.
• Prices and plans may change; price changes for existing subscriptions are notified in advance according to store policy.

5. Your content and AI results

• You keep the rights to the photos and text you upload.
• You grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to use that content only as needed to run the Service (storing and processing it, sending it to AI providers, showing you results, and publishing what you choose to make public). The licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for records we must keep by law.
• You may use the AI results you create as you wish, but you are responsible for how you use them (including portrait and copyright rights), and the usage policies of the AI provider that produced them also apply.
• Posts you publish to the community and AI filters you make public are visible to other users, and other users can apply your public filters to their own photos. If you delete your account, the text of your posts and comments remains under an anonymous label (Privacy Policy, Section 3).

6. Prohibited uses

You must not:

• Upload a photo of another person without their consent. Features that involve several people, such as outfit swap or couple filters, need the consent of everyone in the photo.
• Create or share non-consensual sexual imagery, deepfakes, or composites meant to insult, defame or deceive.
• Sexualise or otherwise harm minors using photos in which they appear.
• Impersonate another person or organisation.
• Upload illegal content or content that infringes someone else's copyright, trademark or portrait rights.
• Post hate speech, harassment, incitement to violence or spam.
• Bypass safety measures, send automated bulk requests, or abuse the credit or payment systems.
• Reverse-engineer the Service or interfere with its normal operation.

7. Reporting and enforcement

• You can report or block posts, comments, AI filters and accounts in the app.
• Based on reports and our own review, we may remove or hide content, issue warnings, limit features or suspend accounts. Clearly illegal content is removed without notice and, where required, reported to the authorities.

8. About AI results

• AI results (scores, style suggestions, images) are model estimates and may be inaccurate or differ from what you expect.
• Outfit and glow-up scores are for fun and reference only and are not professional advice.
• Generated images may not match how you or the clothes really look.
• The Service is provided as is, and we do not guarantee any particular result.

9. Limitation of liability

• We are not liable for losses that arise without our intent or negligence, such as natural disasters, causes attributable to you, or outages of third-party services (Apple, Google, AI providers, network carriers).
• To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months before the loss.
• These limits do not apply to losses caused by our intent or gross negligence, or to liability that cannot be limited by law.

10. Changes to the Service

We may add, change or discontinue features. Significant changes that disadvantage paying users, or shutting down the Service, will be announced in advance in the app or on this page.

11. Termination and account deletion

• You can leave at any time from Settings > Delete account in the app. Remaining credits are forfeited, and a subscription must be cancelled separately in the store. You cannot sign up again with the same account for 30 days.
• We may restrict or terminate your account if you seriously violate these terms.

12. Changes to these terms

When we change these terms we announce the changes and the effective date in advance on this page and in the app. Continuing to use the Service after the effective date means you accept the updated terms.

13. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Disputes arising from the Service are resolved by the court with jurisdiction under the Korean Civil Procedure Act. This does not limit any rights you have under the mandatory consumer protection laws of the country where you live.
